Really loved my experience with Prince of Whales. They all are kind and took a lot of photos to share with us.

Great whale watching experience - so many whales!

An incredible experience from beginning to end! We saw a total of 11 whales, including Southern Resident Orcas, a humpback whale, and a pod of Transient Orcas. The team was knowledgeable at answering questions and sharing some fun facts and stories about whales and other wildlife. The sunset on the return was the cherry on top, and I love that they sent us photos of the wildlife we saw that day!

What a treat!!

What an experience! I've never been whale-watching before, and what a treat. We saw 2 or 3 pods, which our instructors said was unusual, so we feel very lucky! There were so many orcas to observe. I was initially worried about being on the larger boat (I had wanted to go on the Zodiac tour but was worried about the weather), but I had nothing to fear. The Captain made sure we all had a great view of the whales, and the first mate took incredible photos for us, so we could just sit back and enjoy the experience in person. The crew was knowledgable and friendly, happy to answer questions and take their time to make sure we all got to see the orcas for as long as possible. I wish I had brought binoculars! It's also pretty incredible that the crew found the whales by sight alone (no sonar or tracking). Overall, a wonderful afternoon that flew by! Wish we could have spent just a FEW more minutes, since it is listed as a sunset tour and we had arrived back at Granville Island by the time the sun was actually setting. I imagine that if you take this tour even earlier in the summer, there's virtually no way you will actually get to experience the sunset on the water. Still, it was a great tour and I would highly recommend!

Whale watching tour

This was an awesome experience watching killer whales in their habitat. The tour guides were great. We also saw sea lions and harbour lions.

Got great photos

Was an enjoyable day for myself and my family. We saw a large number of Orcas and the staff were very knowledgeable and helpful. I was able to get a number of great photos of the whales as well as other wildlife. Will go out with them again at a future date.
